Merrimac Marine Insurance, LLC is a true multi-line insurance partner dedicated to ensuring our customers futures.
Founded in the early 1990’s and originally known as “The Merrimac Marine Insurance Program” the focus was solely on yacht manufacturers. We quickly grew to be a leader in the industry by improving the functionality and quality of our products by providing updated coverages and policy enhancements that were more in-line with modernized manufacturing facilities. In June of 1998 Huckleberry Sibley & Harvey acquired the program and immediately saw the opportunity for us to bring our innovative approach to other industries within the marine community. Developed over the next few years, in June of 2002 we launched a new corporate structure and became known as Merrimac Marine Insurance, LLC.
Based on the proven track record of our Boat Manufacturer’s Program and with our new structure which enabled us to work with clients as agent, broker or MGA we rapidly expanded and built relationships with every major marine insurer in the country including the finest A+ rated carriers. Today our clients range from middle-market to large global companies. Working within the specialized commercial marine industry we have insurance solutions for our clients ranging from initial design and construction, to boat shows, dealerships, marinas, yacht clubs, storage, repair, commercial operations, marine artisans and more.
Ultimately, we are focused on navigating our customers successfully throughout the insurance process. As a partner, Merrimac works with our clients to provide cost effective comprehensive insurance coverage options, consultative loss control services and aggressive claims management, as well as award winning customer service.
Headquartered in Maitland, Florida with satellite offices in Rosemary Beach, Florida and our newest location in Seattle, Washington. Licensed in most states; we work with customers on a national basis, providing world-wide insurance coverage.
