Recognizing an opportunity, Merrimac partnered with the nations largest underwriter of commercial marine insurance, American International Group (AIG), and became the Managing General Agent (MGA) for the Marine Manufacturing Program.
Pat Duggan, Partner at Merrimac Marine, has dedicated his career to the boat manufacturing industry. Pat has compiled an amazing team to take care of his customers, including a dedicated underwriter with over 30 years of insurance experience, and a fully licensed staff of whom more than half hold the nationally recognized American Adviser in Insurance designation as well as award winning customer service team members. As an active board member of the Houseboat Industry Association (HIA) and an active participant of the United Marine Manufacturers Association (UMMA), Independent Boat Builders, Inc (IBBI), National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) as well as many other organizations Pat keeps ahead of the changes in the industry and the effects these changes have on our customers.
